economics works with a large number of associate editors, covering all fields in economics. Thus, each assoicate editor´s workload remains as small or as large as he or she chooses. The associate editors are responsible for the process of reviewing and deciding about the final publication of submitted papers. New assoicate editors are chosen by the managing and senior editors and can be nominated by existing associate editors and registered readers. The assoicate editors have special privileges in establishing and advertising research forums and in editing special issues of the journal. For example, they are given the opportunity to advertise their own research by uploading related papers to be included in a list of links to “Related Links” that accompanies every article in economics and every economics discussion paper published on the economics Web site. Moreover, they may display links to their own Web sites if they wish so.
