3rd GAEL Conference - Product differentiation and innovation on related markets

June 20–21, 2013, Grenoble, France

The Grenoble Applied Economics Lab of the University of Grenoble and INRA is issuing a call for original research papers to be presented at the Third GAEL Conference on Innovation and Industrial Organization. The conference will be held at the University of Grenoble, France. The conference will run from approximately 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 to 5:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2013.

The aim of this conference is to provide a forum where economists can present and discuss high-quality research on innovation processes in the field of theoretical and applied I.O.. The conference will focus on product differentiation and incentive to innovate on related markets.

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

Investment in R&D on vertically related markets,
Product differentiation on two-sided markets,
Product variety, pricing and retail market,
Innovation within a supply chain,
Intellectual property rights and mergers,
Market for technology,
Regulation of innovating industries.

We are pleased to announce that keynotes lectures will be delivered by the Professors Jean Gabszewicz (Université Catholique de Louvain), Stephen Hamilton (California Polytechnic State University), Chrysovalantou Milliou (Athens University of Economics and Business), and Carlos J. Serrano (University of Toronto and NBER).

Registration fee is waived for all speakers and covers workshop lunches and the gala on Thursday 20, 2013.
